The Fisher Park area of Greensboro had some humble beginning to say the least. Once an area many citizens used as the designated trash dump in the early 1900 to now one of the most sought after older home communities in the area.
John Fisher originally started this suburb project around 1902. His early death left the project unfinished until Mr. Latham and Mr. Wharton took it over in and around 1915.
Today Fisher Park is made up of wonderful older homes, a business district and of course the "park" itself. Fisher Park offers a wide range of home ownership, from million dollar mansions to newly built condominiums. All within a short walk to many area businesses and restaurants.
If you like older homes, close proximity to downtown living, then Fisher Park is worth a serious look.
